Business Challenge: Integrating Ross ERP and Olympic33 DX2 with ProcessOne 365
Alexza Pharmaceuticals, located in Mountain View, CA, is focused on the research, development and commercialization of novel, proprietary products for the acute treatment of central nervous system conditions. Alexza’s products are based on the Staccato system, a hand-held inhaler designed to deliver a drug aerosol to the deep lung, providing rapid systemic delivery and therapeutic onset, in a simple, non-invasive manner.
ADASUVE is the first and only inhalation therapy for the rapid control of mild-to-moderate agitation in adult patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Alexza in moving from research to drug production, elected to use an Internet-based procurement solution from Olympic33 DX2, which serves as a trading hub for many vendors to this industry and their catalogues of products.
ProcessOne 365 was chosen to provide the interface between Olympic33 DX2 and Ross ERP. ProcessOne 365 assures that customer-approved vendors are mapped to those in Olympic33 DX2, and that GL codes match.
Purchase Orders are created behind the firewall with product data acquired through Olympic33 DX2. The PO is posted to the vendor through the Hub, as well as any change orders. ProcessOne 365 updates Ross ERP with order information and updates. Any errors in the communication automatically notifies specific people in Alexza by email, and ProcessOne 365 manager can track and fix all problems.
As well as supporting the ProcessOne 365 interface, ProcessOne manage all Ross ERP and DX2 support through the ProcessOne cloud based Help Desk. Alexza staff enter issues into the help desk and depending on priority and urgency a ProcessOne consultant is assigned to both manage the issue and deliver a solution.
